Dana Sweater Industries Ltd is the newest member company of Dana Group, an internationally acclaimed & respected corporate conglomerate in Bangladesh. A state-of -the-art sweater production factory in Kashimpur, Gazipur, which is adjacent to the capital city of Dhaka, Bangladesh was established on August of 2005 with a aspiration to be a 100% export oriented apparel industry with a core belief in “quality at all costs”.

The project site is located about 30 minutes drive from Zia (Dhaka) International Airport, making it an all round, centrally convenient location. Its Head Offices is located in Banani Commercial Area, one of the most sought-after commercial blocks in the capital of the country. The total floor space of the factory will be 72,000 square feet, sitting on a total area of 4 (four) acres of pristine land.

Machineries and Production Capacity

There are 390 hand driven Raising - Type Flat Knitting Machines in the factory in various gauges ranging from 3.5 GG to 7 GG.

There are 220 Super-Knitting Machines of various gauges. These have all the facilities as Raising –Type Flat Knitting machines and perform complex design Knitting that can make lettering similar to and surpassing automatic Jacquard Knitting Machines. These are also capable of color block-knitting, which can produce different letters in a variety of colors, making diamond and square shapes, as well as different types of intarsia pattern.

There are 250 linking machines and full range of finishing machines are available in the factory. The company will be adding 300 machines with similar configurations within June – July, 2006. The average daily production capacity is capable at meeting 6000 units of Garment/Sweaters e lead position.
